Brochure Downloads
Overview
Brochure download forms gate access to the club's key marketing assets. A visitor provides their contact details in exchange for the download, creating a high-intent lead directly in CRM.
Problem it solves: Brochures uploaded directly to a website as public PDF links generate downloads but no leads. Gating the download creates a contact record, tags the person with intent data, and starts the follow-up sequence. A person who downloads a society brochure is actively considering a booking — they should hear from someone within minutes, not days.
When to deploy: Only when the client has the brochure ready as a PDF. Do not build the form until the asset exists. A gated form that promises a brochure and delivers nothing is worse than no form at all.
One standard pattern, three variants: The build logic is identical across all brochure types. Only the form fields, brochure file, tags, pipeline destination, and email copy change. Build one variant first, then duplicate for the others.
The Three Variants
| Ref | Workflow | Description |
|---|---|---|
| WF-brochure-society | Society Golf Brochure Download | Captures society leads; routes to Society / Group Golf pipeline |
| WF-brochure-membership | Membership Brochure Download | Captures prospective member leads; routes to Membership pipeline |
| WF-brochure-wedding | Wedding & Events Brochure Download | Captures event/wedding enquiries; routes to Weddings or Events pipeline based on event type |
Shared Rules
These rules apply to all three brochure download variants without exception.
- Do not build a brochure form until the client has supplied the final PDF. A form that promises a brochure and delivers nothing is worse than no form at all.
- Each brochure type gets its own unique tag. Do not use a generic
downloaded_brochuretag — the specific tag is the intent signal. - Speed to Lead must be active on the destination pipeline before any form goes live.
- Do not publish any form to the live website until James has given approval and QA is passed.
- When duplicating, double-check the correct PDF is attached to the correct delivery email. A membership enquirer receiving a weddings brochure is an embarrassing mistake.
